Adding production batches

Grouping a press run by design and decoration method, and what the batch screen does not do yet.

Batch production under Operate. A batch is a press run: one design, one decoration method, one print date, so you can plan the day by setup rather than by order.

Creating one

Create, then set:

The batch number is generated for you in the form BATCH-2026-0001, and it is unique within your shop.

Working the list

The list shows the number, name, method, order count, print date and status, filterable by status. Sorted newest first. Copy the number straight off the list to write it on a box or a screen.

What is not there yet

Batches hold a set of orders in the data model, but there is no screen for attaching orders to a batch today, so the order count on the list stays at zero unless something else has linked them. Until that lands, use batches as a planning record and drive the actual jobs from the production board, noting the batch number in each order's internal notes so the two line up.

Work orders and packing slips are also per order rather than per batch. See printing work orders and packing slips.

Who can use it

Batches sit behind the production permission, so owner, manager and production roles can create and edit them. Designers and viewers can see them.
